One of the guys behind the 'Enquiries' desk looked as though he'd been up for 72 hours and just said 'I haven't clue, go and ask at the enquiry desk at the Excalibur'. for the price and the status of this hotel, all staff should be polite and helpful. They knew nothing about anything other than their immediate task and 'going that extra mile' to help re-direct you was completely alien to them. They were ALL (with only a couple of exceptions) completely useless.

The rooms are a little gloomy (you really DO feel like you are in a tomb), poorly lit and some of the furniture had seen better days but we hadn't gone for the room.Įnjoyed the time there but the restaurants (not the buffet) were all pricey. We were quite high up in the pyramid and it was great. We are never going back! If you do go, book a tower room. The maid brought towels two hours after we asked for them at (2 in the morning)and said 'good luck with that.' This was actually on my birthday which was ruined! Also, Most of the machines in the arcade were broken.the bowling game took $2.50 and didn't give it back despite not letting us play. We heard 100 of their rooms leaked that night and people stuck it out becuase luxor management basically told everyone too bad. That night, when it rained our room was leaking (steady stream) in three places including the lightfixture over the table by the window and ruined some pictures we had sitting on it! We asked the manager to move us and she was very rude and said there were no more rooms. When we checked into our pyramid room, we noticed water stains on the curtains and decided to overlook it. We have stayed at the Luxor three times and loved it! But it has really gone down hill.
